King of Hearts (KOH) is the brain-child of British born artist and designer Amber Mariel.
After graduating from the London College of Fashion in 2014, Amber worked in many sectors of the fashion industry in London, from assisting high-profile makeup artists to modelling and eventually styling shoots, she discovered her true calling lie within the colours and textures of the threads we put on our bodies.
In the summer of 2016, after creating and wearing a handmade banana print 2-piece to the Brighton Pride celebrations and receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback, Amber decided to make a few pairs to sell. It was then, from an ancient Brother sewing machine, in a tiny flat in Brighton, UK that King of Hearts was born and we’ve been amping up since, honey!
Drawing inspiration from British subcultures and vintage silhouettes, nothing is off limits for Amber’s artistic interpretation. Our neck-breakin’, eye-poppin’ prints are custom designed to evoke the inspiration or story behind a collection and power-clashes so vibrant, NASA called and told us to turn it down! ;)
